I was a member of two Vincentians with the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland Overseas Development who visited Fr Vladimir’s Fatima Mission from Thursday 6th September to Tuesday 13th September 2011. We were met by Fr John Paul who escorted Jon Wood and myself to Fatima Mission from Woitape Airstrip. We met Fr Peter, who also administers to various parishes around the Wotipe area. Fr Vladimir did not join us until Thursday 8th September when he arrived from Port Moresby.

I found Fatima Mission a very spiritual and uplifting experience and hold fond memories of assisting and praying with parishioners. There is a new school building being completed and new foundations laid for the new church. Some beautiful photos were taken of Frs Vladimir, John Paul and Peter, as well as surrounding landscape.
