New Acolytes and Lectors instituted in seminary church
It is tradition in the Province of Poland to institute new Lector (Reader) and Acolyte ministers on the first Sunday of Lent. These ministries are elements of formation toward priesthood. Canon Law requires candidates for diaconal ordination to have received and have exercised for an appropriate time the ministries of lector and acolyte and prescribes that institution in the second of these ministries must precede by at least six months ordination as a deacon.
At 9:00 a.m. , Sunday, February 21, 2010 the rite of instituting the ministries of Lector and Acolyte took place in the seminary church at Stradom, Krakow. In absence of the Visitor of Poland who participated in Chopin Year inauguration in Warsaw, Fr. Pawel Holc CM, Provincial Assistant was the celebrant.

Students of II Theology (fifth year of formation) were instituted Acolytes: Marcin Fabisiak, Maciej Golas, Paweł Jakób, Marcin Mitura, Maciej Musielak, Dominik Palkij, Adam Sejbuk, Damian Wyżkiewicz, brother-in-formation Krzysztof Dorau.
Students of I Theology (fourth year of formation) were instituted Lectors: Jakub Hiler, Przemysław Krakowiak, Andrzej Kubiak, Mikołaj Żebrowski.
