Invitation to Annual Gathering of Vincentian Family in Poland

As upcoming year 2010 will be marked by 350th Anniversary of death of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, Vincentian Family in Poland wants to prepare to faithfully celebrate the Jubilee Year. Responding to suggestion of Very Rev. Arkadiusz Zakręta CM, Visitor of Province of Poland, annual Vincentian Family Gathering will take place from September 25 to September 27 this year in Vincentian Basilica Minor of St. Vincent de Paul in Bydgoszcz. The gathering will officially inaugurate celebration of Jubilee Year of 350th Anniversary in Poland.
On behalf of Visitor and confreres of St.Vincent de Paul Basilica in Bydgoszcz National Moderator of Vincentian Family, Rev. Jerzy Górny CM warmly and cordially invites to attend this Jubilee Meeting. Especially encouraged to participate in the annual meeting are representatives and member of the Vincentian Family in Poland from:
- Congregation of the Mission
- Company of Daughters of Charity from all three Polish Provinces including lay associates
- Association of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul (AIC)
- Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP)
- Association of Miraculous Medal (AMM)
- Vincentian Marian Youth (JMV)
- All others who want to learn and deepen the Vicentian spirituality are warmly welcomed, too.
The gathering will start at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2009 with the prayer of Apel Jasnogorski in the Basilica. The next day, Saturday, September 26, events will sight-seeing in Bydgoszcz, a solemn Eucharist celebrated at noon by Very Rev. Arkadiusz Zakręta CM, the Visitor of Province pof Poland and the conference meeting of all attending branches of the Vincentian Family in the city Filharmonic Hall and participation in the Parish Festival. The main event of final day, the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul, will be the Holy Mass celebrated by Msgr Tadeusz Gocłowski CM, former archbishop of Gdansk in Basilica at 1:00 p.m. Earlier in the morning all attending branches of the Family will meet in their own group.
